ubuntu dock not showing

This issue might be caused by issues during the upgrade. Try reinstalling Ubuntu dock:

sudo apt purge gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock
sudo apt install --reinstall ubuntu-desktop
This may or may not repair things that apparently went wrong during the upgrade.
